CARV's Staking Metrics and Token Economy

Understanding CARV's token economy and staking metrics is crucial for getting the most out of your CARV participation. CARV has a carefully designed token distribution model that ensures long-term rewards for its community and contributors.

The total supply of CARV is capped at 1 billion tokens, distributed across several categories, with a significant portion reserved for node operators and delegators:

Within the Nodes & Community category, up to 25% of the total supply will be allocated to verifier node operators over four years. The token release follows a 25% reduction every six months, ensuring a controlled and sustainable emission rate.

Verifier node operators will receive veCARV instead of receiving native token directly and convert it to CARV through redemption,  with the redemption rate depending on the length of the unlocking period. Longer redemption periods offer higher rates, up to 100%. The available redemption durations and corresponding rewards are:

• 15 Days: 25% redemption rate
• 90 Days: 60% redemption rate
• 150 Days: 100% redemption rate

Each redemption request requires a small fee of 1 CARV, and users can cancel their redemption request at any time without penalties, as long as the redemption has not already been claimed.
