GenesisLRT Selects InfStones to Enhance Staking Security and Efficiency
InfStones is partnering with Genesis, a leading staking and restaking services provider, to enhance the security, efficiency, and overall user experience of the Genesis protocol. Genesis, built on the EigenLayer protocol, allows users to restake assets across multiple networks simultaneously, increasing liquidity through Liquid Restaking Tokens (LRTs). Unlike traditional staking, users retain access to a portion of their assets, which can be traded while still earning passive income. Leveraging InfStone’s expertise in blockchain infrastructure, Genesis aims to strengthen its staking node operator network security, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing operational capabilities and investor confidence. EigenLayer Launched Mainnet
EigenLayer has launched its mainnet, detailing a meticulous phased approach for a secure and high-performance rollout. With significant backing, including a $100 million investment from Andreessen Horowitz, and a TVL surpassing $10 billion, the project is set to introduce innovations like EigenDA for hyperscale data availability. The preparation involves a final testnet phase, temporary pausing of webapp and contracts for a smooth operator onboarding, and gradual registration of operators. InfStones, as one of EigenLayer’s initial node operators, pledges robust support for the AVS ecosystem, demonstrating a deep commitment to advancing blockchain technology and enhancing Ethereum's infrastructure.
Swell Network Announces Its Innovative New Restaked Rollup Chain
Swell Network is set to launch its Layer 2 rollup chain in the second half of 2024, utilizing a novel "restaked rollup" framework by AltLayer and integrating features from EigenLayer to offer improved scalability, lower fees, and native restaking yields. This initiative, supported by Polygon's chain development kit for zkEVM capabilities and introducing rswETH as its gas token, aims to enhance the DeFi experience with actively validated services and EigenDA for data availability. Swell's expansion into Layer 2, building on its success since 2023 with over $1 billion in total value locked (TVL) as of March 1st, 2024, underscores its commitment to offering superior liquid restaking services. InfStones is excited to support this venture as a partner validator for Swell's liquid staking and liquid restaking tokens, marking a significant milestone in DeFi's evolution.
Ethereum’s Dencun Upgrade Goes Live
Ethereum's recent "Dencun" upgrade on March 13th marks a significant development in reducing data fees and fostering growth for layer-2 networks like Arbitrum and Polygon through the introduction of "proto-danksharding." This new feature creates a dedicated, less expensive area on the blockchain for data storage, separate from regular transactions, aiming to lower Ethereum's high transaction fees and spur competition among layer-2 networks by making data settling for rollups more efficient and cost-effective. This move is not only a step towards the eventual goal of full sharding, which will enhance Ethereum's transaction processing capabilities and reduce costs, but also supports the integration with data availability layers, crucial for storing rollup-generated data. InfStones, as a longtime Ethereum validator, is committed to supporting these advancements, contributing to Ethereum's growth and the evolution of a more scalable, efficient, and user-centric blockchain ecosystem, signifying a new era of innovation and solidifying Ethereum's leadership in the blockchain space.
