Welcome to the InfStones February newsletter. It has been another exciting month of growth, development, and expansion for the company. Along with the new year come many new changes and updates as InfStones continues to lead the blockchain infrastructure industry forward. Here are all of the key InfStones updates from January.

InfStones Publishes a New Blog Post - Effects of MEV on ETH 2.0 and InfStones’ Position 

In January, InfStones published a new blog post about how MEV is affecting ETH 2.0 and our position on the feature. MEV stands for “maximal extractable value,” which refers to the maximum reward that can be obtained from the production of a single block. With MEV, validators alter the order of transactions in a block in order to earn the highest amount of rewards possible for validating that block. 

There are both positive and negative aspects of MEV with ETH 2.0. For example, network validators have the potential to earn higher rewards with MEV — but as a result, some network participants may have to pay higher gas fees. 

Here at InfStones, we are committed to allowing our users to benefit from MEV’s positive aspects. To this end, we have integrated Flashbot into our platform so that users hosting Ethereum nodes can actively participate in MEV opportunities. This feature is enabled by default for all Ethereum nodes, and it allows users to earn significantly higher rewards with their staked Ethereum.

Join Us at ETH Denver 2023 

InfStones is proud to be participating in ETH Denver 2023, the longest-running Ethereum event in the world. It is an opportunity for Ethereum and Web3 enthusiasts to get together, share ideas, network, and innovate. The event has been held annually since 2017, and it continues to grow in size and scope each year. 

ETH Denver will take place March 2nd - March 5th at the National Western Complex (4655 Humboldt St.) in Denver, Colorado. InfStones is sending a team to the event, and our Director of Business Development, Global, Sili Zhao, will be speaking. 

Sili will be addressing the key infrastructure challenges that the Web3 industry is facing, as it shifts from DPoS to PoS, as well as explaining why some staking providers will fail after ETH’s Shanghai upgrade. 

Other members of the InfStones team that will be attending ETH Denver include Parker Poor, Director of Sales; Promit Barua, Business Development Manager; Adam Kinley, Business Development Manager; and Richard Calak, Account Executive.
