1 InfStones Joins Binance Smart Chain (BSC) to Provide Infrastructure Support

InfStones has joined forces with Binance Smart Chain (BSC) to provide BSC with enterprise-grade blockchain infrastructure, and will be heavily involved in supporting the BSC network expansion.

BSC is a blockchain that runs parallel to the Binance Chain. Unlike Binance Chain, BSC boasts smart contract functionality and compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). This allows the high throughput of Binance Chain to remain intact, while also introducing smart contracts into its ecosystem.

Through the partnership, InfStones has further expanded its footprint on the world’s top public blockchains. This expansion will better serve the DApps community and the vast number of BSC users. InfStones will not only provide enterprise-grade node services for BSC, but also integrate BSC into its universal blockchain infrastructure platform. This in turn will further expand the scale of the BSC network, and empower its community ecosystem.

2 InfStones Joins Mina as Genesis Validator

InfStones is pleased to announce that we have joined the Mina network as a genesis validator, and will continue to provide high-quality and secure validator and staking services to Mina’s growing network.

The Mina protocol is based on zero-knowledge proof ZK-SNARKs, a lightweight blockchain protocol that can compress the size of the blockchain from a few hundred GBs to a staggering 22KBs. End users can run and verify Mina’s mainnet and nodes directly from their mobile phones, a feature that is favored by global developers. The Mina testnet has become the world’s largest PoS testnet besides ETH 2.0.

InfStones will continue to expand its high-quality network, and provide stable secure node services and staking services for a wide range of public blockchain protocols.

3 Umbrella Network Launches Public Testnet

InfStones has partnered with Umbrella Network. Under this partnership, InfStones will bring their deep technical and operational expertise to the Umbrella Network and serve as one of the first validators.

Umbrella Network is a community-owned Layer-2 data oracle solution for the DeFi market that enables DeFi apps to access a wider variety of data, both real world and crypto assets. Utilizing a system of Merkle trees to anchor hundreds to thousands of data points onto a single blockchain transaction, Umbrella’s oracle solution batches data and proofs so that it’s significantly more cost effective, massively scalable, and secure.

4 ETH 2.0 Reached 3,552,204 Staking

Since the Ethereum 2.0 Beacon Chain launched on December 1st, the number of participants staking is rapidly increasing. As of Mar. 22nd, there have been 111,008 active validators on Beacon Chain Ethereum 2.0 with a total of 3,552,204 ETH staked.

The process of Ethereum (ETH)’s plan moving to a proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus mechanism appears to be continuing to gain attention. According to the proposal of the Core Dev of Ethereum, Mikhail Kalinin, the integration of moving to Ethereum 2.0 will become the main focus of Ethereum core developers after the London upgrade (which is estimated in July). Kalinin’s latest proposal also follows on from Vitalik Buterin’s “quick merge proposal” from last week, in which the Ethereum founder outlined a technical “mechanism by which a merge can happen quickly.”
